PRE-K / KINDERGARTENÂ READINESS
Preparing Children for a Confident Start

At Storytime Child Care, kindergarten readiness is about more than knowing letters and numbers. We help children build the academic, social, emotional, and independence skills they need to enter school feeling confident, capable, and ready to learn.
Building Strong Academic Foundations

Children are supported in developing early literacy and math skills through letter recognition, phonics and beginning sounds, name writing, sight-word exposure, counting, number recognition, shapes, colors, patterns, and other developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
Growing Independence & School Skills

Children practice following directions, completing tasks, taking turns, communicating needs, caring for personal belongings, using self-help skills, and developing the confidence to work more independently.
Learning Through Hands-On Experiences

Fine-motor activities, art, STEM, dramatic play, books, music, movement, and purposeful play are woven throughout the day to strengthen problem-solving, creativity, communication, and coordination.

Ready for the Next Step

Our goal is to help children transition into kindergarten with a strong foundation, positive learning habits, and excitement about what comes next.
